ABOUT DEREK GAVINE (OWNER)

Paintworks and Plastering is founded by Derek Gavine, who began his career in 1984 at Kingsway Technical College gaining an apprenticeship through the Scottish Painting Council. Derek obtaining his City and Guilds Certificate in Painting and Decorating in 1987, and throughout this time he apprenticed with one of Scotland’s largest painting companies based in Dundee.

In 1992, Derek set up Paintworks and Plastering with the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust. His near 30 years of experience includes high quality decorating with both domestic and large commercial decorating projects. Derek is an expert in project management and meeting deadlines. He basically gets the job done to a high standard on time, every time.
